Custom Applications
Welsh Business Solutions (WBS) will begin by documenting daily processes.
This Business Discovery Phase (BDP) will document ways to improve the
productivity and efficiency of the company. The BDP will also suggest
system changes and custom applications as necessary. If custom
applications are required, full functional requirements will also be
included. The BDP will be done up front and the customer will
receive full documentation of all necessary changes and system requirements.
After the BDP, WBS will offer these services to the client or you have the
option of taking possession of documentation and implementing internally.
If WBS is contracted to complete the work, specialists in appropriate areas
will be brought onto the project. WBS will operate in a series of phases
for project completion.
-
The first phase will be the Design Requirements Phase (DRP). This phase will
draw on the BDP and expand the documentation to include technical
specifications necessary to complete the project.
-
The second phase will be the Application Development Phase (ADP). The
ADP will build to specification all necessary components. The ADP will include
three review points. These review points will be with the customer to ensure
that the development is on track with the needs and desires of the
client.
-
These will be referred to as prototypes.
-
The first and second prototype will be open to client changes within the scope
of the project.
-
The third and final prototype will be a confirmation that WBS is delivering the
desired product.
-
No further changes will be allowed on the third prototype.
-
At the completion of the ADP, the System Testing Phase (STP) will begin. During
the STP, full testing, including load testing and platform testing will be
executed. All unsuccessful tests will be corrected.
-
The final phase will be the Customer Approval and Signoff Phase (CSP).
The CSP will give customer ample time to review and approve all delivered
products.
At the conclusion of the CSP, customers will also be offered training on
systems. If this is not necessary, it is not required. However, for
custom applications, user training is highly recommended.
